Andrea Reinsmoen is a modern language teacher in Middle School at ASB. She has
taught English, French, and Spanish to students ranging from elementary school
children to adults for the past 13 years. Her Secondary Teaching Degree in English,
French, and Spanish from the University of Fribourg in Switzerland, has allowed her to
teach in Switzerland, Dubai, U.S.A, and India. Her on-line Masters of Arts in Education
on Differentiated Instruction opened the door for her to become a facilitator for
differentiating instruction to meet all student needs. She is excited to be in education
at this time when education must change rapidly to meet the learning needs of
students. Being part of the Research and Development team at ASB has allowed her to share her
enthusiasm for participating in shaping the future of education at ASB. Learning about how mindsets need
to shift to enable teachers to better prepare our children for the future has caused her to engage in
prototyping blended learning, PBL, gamification, and other emerging practices to enhance student
learning in a fun and engaging way for students. Serving as a Middle Schools 21st Century Skills coach has
allowed her to become more deliberate in her teaching, ensuring that her students get the skills necessary
