How it Works
While there is no real goal or end game condition like completing levels, you are a character in this world
who can build collaboratively with others in the same world. Minecraft has two main game modes:
Survival and Creative.
This mode is where players need to manage resources, fight for their lives, and delve deeper into the
world to find rarer and more advanced minerals. Like the real world, survival mode has a day and night
cycle; days and nights last 20 minutes each. Night time in this mode is dangerous as this is when zombies,
skeletons, creepers, and spiders all come out and try to kill players. The way players protect themselves
is by building a shelter till the sun rises and burns up these creatures.
During the day, the player works towards collecting enough resources and building a shelter to stay
protected. Players have the ability to break some blocks with their hand and once it has broken, they pick
it up and add it to their inventory. This allows them to use blocks and resources that they have collected
any time they need to. The first step in this mode is to create a tool that will help players mine resources
that are harder to break with their hand. To craft a tool, players need to use blocks they have gathered
and make their tool in a crafting table. The first tool most players create is a wooden pickaxe made from
wood, an easy resource to find in the Minecraft world.
