Older students in a grade are likely to outperform their younger peers in the same grade. But we
also observed that the degree of the difference flattens out over time, all but disappearing by
the 8th and 9th grades.
We wanted to place the MAP test results in the hands of our teachers in a single-page application, so
that users would not need to click and be directed to different “pages” of reports as is currently seen on
the NWEA’s own website. Our end user interface takes the shape of an index-card layout, such as maybe
seen on baseball cards.
