wire, beads, markers, and more. I watched as they worked and
experimented. A very tactile group, they were focused on the process.
They weren’t as interested in the bike wheel itself as a final project as
they were interested in experimenting with all of the materials in
decorating the wheel. They taught me new things-- I didn’t know that oil
pastels worked on rubber! What I got out of the end of this study is that
this class wanted to go a mile deep into a study of the different materials
and how they work and respond with other media.
