As shown in Figure 4, we collected ongoing feedback and reflections from
MCGM teachers, our monitoring team as well as from our coaches about
the design of the VC lessons. This has given us a lot of insight into what
kinds of lessons work for such a demographic using a VC platform. In this
section, we describe our key pedagogical learnings from year one of ERP.
Lesson 1: Videos Work
Based on notes from 570 observations in MCGM classrooms by the
monitoring team, we have found that videos and animated PowerPoint
presentations were the most engaging parts of our lessons for students.
Videos are not a tool that MCGM teachers typically use in their
