Kris Velez, or as his friends and colleagues know him as
Linus, is a Research Associate at the American School
of Bombay integrating and teaching Programming and
Making with students of all ages. Originally a mobile video
game developer, Linus discovered a love for teaching
when helping young children and teens at a summer
camp. Since then, ha has carefully crafted his skills in teaching Coding,
Making, Game Development and Design-related courses in order to unlock
the hidden passions within his students. His favorite part of the job is seeing
students come to the realization that they have the power to make anything

Sam Bourke is currently a middle school science
educator at the American School of Bombay. Sam has
a background in biological and environmental sciences
and has taught science up to the IB Diploma, HL Biology
level. Sam began his teaching career after being inspired
by two of his own teachers who made learning science
real world, authentic and challenging. Sam has worked toward making
science engaging, authentic and challenging for his students over the past
10 years in his time working in Australia, Mexico, Indonesia and Peru.
His current interest lies in the development of inquiry-based student
driven science exploration, where students can develop and explore
